Within Sekisui S-lec B.V., located in Roermond (225 FTE), PVB interlayer film plant, we are looking for an:
EHS Officer (FT)
Sekisui S-LEC produces her own raw materials in Geleen, (located at Chemelot site). These raw materials are shipped to all S-LEC plants worldwide under which our plant in Roermond, where we produce our PVB interlayer film.
This film is applied to laminated glass in buildings and automobiles. It is used for safety and security (no scattering of glass upon impact) and shielding of UV-radiation, sound and heat. Sixty years of continuous improvement of our glass interlayer technology have made us the leading brand for PVB interlayer film in the automotive industry.
Functie:
•The EHS Officer is responsible for maintaining the environmental management system (ISO14001) and the ISO45001, world’s international standard for occupational health and safety, issued to protect employees and visitors from work related diseases and accidents.
•In this position you execute and guard the company policy related to Environment, Health and Safety.
•You notice and solve bottlenecks and advise/ instruct and share knowledge within the organization.
•You manage (including audit planning, execution and reporting) and maintain the 14001 and 45001 management systems, in which you are the expert.
•Related to management systems, you support departments by solving issues on a pragmatic way.
•You conduct and support internal audits, including preparation, documentation and the follow up of action points and during external audits you guide and support as well.
•You execute other operational topics that are related to Environment, Health and Safety (EHS), like the planning, execution and reporting of Safety Patrols.
•You keep the database for unsafe situations/ incidents up to date and you support during incident investigations.
•In the EHS team, you support the EHS engineer and EHS manager.
Functie-eisen:
•You have an educational background related to this job, like for instance IVK or MVK,
•You have experience in a similar position in industrial/commercial organization.
•Preferably you have knowledge of both management systems for this position, but at least knowledge of either ISO14001 or ISO45001 with the intention to learn and to get acquainted with the missing management system.
•You have a high level of responsibility and a firm personality who is able to balance between compliance on the one hand and pragmatic solutions on the other hand.
•You are innovative, pragmatic, independent and representative as a person.
•Good knowledge and command of MS Office (Word/Excel/PowerPoint).
•Proficiency of the English language is required.
•For the sake of visualisation and reporting, good knowledge of PowerBi is a preference.
Functieaanbod:
Roermond has an informal work atmosphere with short communication lines. Sekisui is a healthy organisation with a long term vision. There is a healthy investment climate, as there were expansions at both of the plants in Geleen and in Roermond, for the past years.
A permanent position, starting with a contract for 1 year with the intention for a permanent contract. A salary indication between € 3319,- and € 4431,-gross a month.
There are flexible working hours. Amongst the conditions of employment are 25 vacation days and 11,5 ATV days, 5% year-end bonus, € 0,23 /km. travel allowance, company bonus (0-4%), good pension and a lot of possibilities for training and development.
